On Saturday 28.1.23 the Swiss Dance Award took place for the first time. An event that united and celebrated shows from different dance styles. In the middle of it all was the TTZ couple Dominik Zimmermann and Mae Lilija Hoffmeister, who were nominated by the STSV to compete in the Latin couple dance category.
Next to the reigning Swiss champions clearly in the underdog position, Mae and Dominik surprised the audience with a fantastically charismatic Paso Doble show after their perfect performance. He dressed like a real torero, she in a long bright red dress, they managed to create a passionate spark with the audience and win the majority of the audience's votes. In the final, they then presented a slightly modified version of their show, which even brought a smile to the faces of the 1800 spectators, especially in the final sequence. Despite this convincing performance, they had no chance against the rock'n'roll fireworks of the runners-up in the final.
For Mae and Dominik it was their last performance together, as their professional paths will continue to develop in other countries in the future. With this show, however, they were able to once again put an exclamation mark under their dance performance and end their joint career with a bang.
