This traditional Swiss competition was created in the early 1980s by English professional Reg Borrow.
The Basic Trophy allows mixed age groups and levels to participate in this open competition. The couples are judged only by dancing basic figures.
On the same day there will be an SDSC open SupaLeague competition Standard & Latin (hobby / amateur). In this event, all couples have the opportunity to dance at least two dances, ending with an A and B final. This is a very encouraging system for the dancers entering the tournament world.
