On 25 September, Happy Dancers Baden hosted the Swiss Latin American Dance Championships as part of the Trafo Cup. The Trafohalle in Baden, an excellent location that has been used by dancers for several years, was the perfect setting for this event.
The TTZ was represented by numerous couples. Strong performances were shown on the floor and we can now be happy about two Swiss Champion titles, among others. The new Swiss Champions in the Senior I category are Felix Locher and Silvia Nater. The runners-up, Carmelo Quattrocchi and Hristina Marjanovic, also come from TTZ.
The atmosphere in the hall was great throughout. The dancing couples were strongly cheered on by the audience and spurred on to top performances. Our junior couple Henri Arpad Hoffmeister and Marianna Panchenko started with the aim of winning the championship. The two exceptional talents danced their way into the final. With all their dances won, Henri and Marianna took the victory ahead of Mark Lobanovskyi and Zlata Yermakova, who won the runner-up title.
For Mikhail Pikulin and Eva Pikulina it should be a place on the podium with great scores in all dances. Their excellent performance was rewarded with a bronze medal. Lev Reznik and Kamila Adahanova achieved the same rank in the student category.
With three couples in the final of the main category, the TTZ had a chance to win. Our dance couples could not dance past the favourites Davide Corrodi and Maja Kucharczyk. With the runners-up Dominik Zimmermann / Mae Lilija Hoffmeister, the third placed Tristan Geiger / Catherine Pisarenko and the fourth place of Dominic Granwehr / Angelina Lesniak, the couples showed a strong performance. With thunderous applause and a unique atmosphere on this day, the audience thanked all the dancers for their performances.
