2 gold medals, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals

At 9.11.23 the Swiss Standard Championships took place in Uitikon. The TTZ had a few aces up their sleeves and were able to secure 2 of the coveted titles. The 2 gold medals were complemented by two silver, two bronze and further final places.

Already in the afternoon, the TTZ fans supported their favourites loudly and really heated up the atmosphere in the hall. Shouts of "Hopp TTZ" could be heard again and again, driving the couples to top performances. Lev Reznik and Kamila Adahanova won their first Swiss Championship title in the junior category and Davyd Reznik / Sofiia Reznik came third in the youth category.

In the Seniors I category, the audience was able to admire the dancing quality of Renato Minnig and Sulekha Buhala. They ended up in a good 2nd place. With Helge Uhrig and Désirée Hilbring, who defended their title from the previous year, and Boris Kaiser and Hanna Mathis, the TTZ was even able to celebrate a double victory in the Senior 2 category. Roland Andreas Eigenmann / Florence Eigenmann missed the podium in the Seniors III and ended up in 4th place.

The big highlight of the day followed with the main category final. Already in previous years it had always been a neck-and-neck race between the pairs Corrodi/ Kucharczyk and Kasilov/ Dreier. This year, the new TTZ pair, consisting of our Ukrainian coaches Klym Shypilin and Anna Alieksieieva, competed for the first time. It was quickly clear which couples would be on the podium, but in which order? Everything was still open here and it was going to be exciting. The dancing level in Standard had risen steadily in recent years and is currently at a high point that has not been reached for decades. But how would the judges evaluate the different styles of the couples? Klym and Anna immediately danced their way into the hearts of the audience with their fantastic skills and smooth interpretations of the dances. In the end, however, they had to settle behind the other two favourite couples and thus ended up in third place. Perhaps there will be a revenge at the Glattal Pokal? The young, talented brother and sister team Mikhail Pikulin / Eva Pikulina reached 5th place in the final. It will certainly be exciting to watch their further development in the coming years.
